For the first time in Israel a cycle of Bach cantatas will be presented to the public. The cantata cycle lets Israeli audiences experience Bach’s finest music over a whole year in 5 different concerts presented at the Kiryat-Yearim church in Abu Gosh, sporting fine acoustics and a unique atmosphere, the ideal venue for listening to Bach’s music.

Each concert in the cycle includes cantatas by Bach chosen according to the Lutheran calendar, together with additional pieces for the ocassion written by Bach and other composers such as Vivaldi, Purcell and Pergolesi.

The music in the series will be performed by the Israeli Bach Soloists, an ensemble comprising Israel’s finest musicians, on historical instruments and a choir of 4 soloists, according to the way Bach himself intended it. Join us and discover the magic of the great Johann Sebastian Bach!
